1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the general fund of
1 2 the state to the judicial department for the fiscal year
1 3 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the
1 4 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be
1 5 used for the purpose designated:
1 6 For the development and implementation of a long-range and
1 7 strategic plan for the judicial branch of government through
1 8 the supreme court's commission on planning for the 21st
1 9 century:
1 10 .................................................. $ 50,000
1 11 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this
1 12 section which remain unexpended or unobligated at the close of
1 13 the fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the
1 14 state but shall remain available for expenditure for the
1 15 designated purpose in the succeeding fiscal year.
1 16 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
1 17 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
1 18 EXPLANATION
1 19 This bill provides a $50,000 appropriation to the judicial
1 20 department for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, to be
1 21 used by the supreme court's commission formed to provide long-
1 22 range and strategic planning for the courts. Any moneys not
1 23 expended by June 30, 1996, shall remain available to the
1 24 department for use on this project during the subsequent
1 25 fiscal year. This bill takes effect upon enactment.
