1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 455B.118 ENVIRONMENTAL PERMIT
1 2 TRUST FUND.
1 3 The department shall establish an environmental permit
1 4 trust fund. The purpose of the fund shall be for individuals
1 5 and businesses to voluntarily contribute money to the
1 6 department to be used for processing and administering permits
1 7 required pursuant to this chapter, other than air contaminant
1 8 source permits.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill requires the department of natural resources to
1 11 adopt rules to establish an environmental permit trust fund.
1 12 Individuals and businesses may voluntarily contribute money to
1 13 the fund to be used by the department to process and
1 14 administer environmental permits required by chapter 455B,
1 15 other than air contaminant source permits.
