1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 321E.9A ROAD TEST OF VEHICLES
1 2 MANUFACTURED IN IOWA.
1 3 The department or local authorities may upon application
1 4 issue a single-trip permit for the movement by a manufacturer
1 5 of machinery or equipment manufactured or assembled in this
1 6 state for the sole purpose of testing the operation of that
1 7 vehicle on roads. The permit shall be issued in accordance
1 8 with section 321E.9.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill allows the state department of transportation or
1 11 local authorities to issue a single-trip permit to a
1 12 manufacturer of machinery or equipment manufactured in Iowa
1 13 for the purpose of road testing the vehicle pursuant to the
1 14 provisions governing the issuance of a single-trip permit.
