1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 36, by inserting after line 9, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "DIVISION
1 6 SPECIAL REGISTRATION PLATES – SURVIVING SPOUSE
1 7 Sec. . The state department of transportation
1 8 shall allow the surviving spouse of a person who was
1 9 issued prisoner of war plates pursuant to section
1 10 321.34, subsection 8, to continue to use the special
1 11 plates, subject to registration of the special plates
1 12 in the surviving spouse's name and upon payment of the
1 13 annual registration fee. If the surviving spouse
1 14 remarries, the surviving spouse shall return the
1 15 special plates to the department and the department
1 16 shall issue regular registration plates to the
1 17 surviving spouse.
1 18 This division of this Act, being deemed of
1 19 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
