  1  1    Amend Senate File 2365, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 10, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  509A.14A  IOWA INDIVIDUAL
  1  6 HEALTH BENEFIT REINSURANCE ASSOCIATION – ELECTION NOT
  1  7 TO PARTICIPATE.
  1  8    A political subdivision of the state or a school
  1  9 corporation providing health insurance or health
  1 10 benefits for employees pursuant to this chapter may
  1 11 elect not to participate in the Iowa individual health
  1 12 benefit reinsurance association established in section
  1 13 513C.10 in accordance with and subject to the terms
  1 14 and conditions adopted by the board of the Iowa
  1 15 individual health benefit reinsurance association.
  1 16 Health insurance or health benefits provided by a
  1 17 political subdivision of the state or school
  1 18 corporation which elects not to participate in the
  1 19 Iowa individual health benefit reinsurance association
  1 20 shall not be considered qualifying existing coverage
  1 21 or qualifying previous coverage as defined in section
  1 22 513C.3."
  1 23    #2.  Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
  1 24 word "commission," the following:  "health insurance
  1 25 and benefits,".
