1 1 Amend the amendment, H-5482, to Senate File 2446,
1 2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 14, by inserting after line 41 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. 100. TRANSFER OF INTERNATIONAL MARKETING
1 7 UNIT OF AGRICULTURAL MARKETING DIVISION.
1 8 Notwithstanding the provisions in 1995 Iowa Acts,
1 9 chapter 216, section 1, subsection 1, paragraph "a",
1 10 the amount appropriated and number of full-time
1 11 equivalent positions authorized to the administrative
1 12 division of the department of agriculture and land
1 13 stewardship for the international marketing unit of
1 14 the agricultural marketing division, as provided in 21
1 15 IAC 1.3(1)"d", are reduced respectively by the amount
1 16 of the unencumbered and unobligated moneys remaining
1 17 within organization 1403 in the appropriation made by
1 18 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 216, section 1, subsection 1,
1 19 paragraph "a", on the effective date of this section
1 20 and by 2.00 FTEs, which amount and position
1 21 authorization shall be transferred to the
1 22 international division of the department of economic
1 23 development for international trade operations.
1 24 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys transferred by
1 25 this section to the department of economic development
1 26 that remain unexpended at the end of the fiscal year
1 27 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996,
1 28 shall not revert but shall be available for
1 29 expenditure for authorized purposes during the
1 30 succeeding fiscal year.
1 31 The department of economic development shall to
1 32 every extent possible provide the employees of the
1 33 international marketing unit of the department of
1 34 agriculture and land stewardship with the opportunity
1 35 to secure a comparable position within the
1 36 international division of the department of economic
1 37 development. The department of economic development
1 38 shall assume responsibility for international
1 39 marketing of agricultural commodities and products and
1 40 for participation in international organizations
1 41 relating to the international marketing of
1 42 agricultural commodities and products."
1 43 #2. Page 15, line 23, by striking the word and
1 44 figures "21, and 33" and inserting the following:
1 45 "21, 33, and 100".
1 46 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
