  1  1    Amend House File 2304 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 11, by inserting after the figure
  1  3 "359.14" the following:  "except that the maintenance
  1  4 and repair of all cemeteries under the jurisdiction of
  1  5 the county including pioneer cemeteries shall be paid
  1  6 from the county general fund".
  1  7    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 22 through 24 and
  1  8 inserting the following:  "359.41 to the cemetery
  1  9 commission except that the expenses of the cemetery
  1 10 commission shall be paid from the county general
  1 11 fund."
  1 12    #3.  Page 1, by inserting before line 25 the
  1 13 following:
  1 14    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  331.424A  CEMETERY LEVY.
  1 15    The board may levy annually a tax not to exceed six
  1 16 and three-fourths cents per thousand dollars of the
  1 17 assessed value of all taxable property in the county,
  1 18 except the taxable property within a city which levies
  1 19 a tax to repair and maintain cemeteries, to repair and
  1 20 maintain all cemeteries under the jurisdiction of the
  1 21 board including pioneer cemeteries and to pay other
  1 22 expenses of the board or the cemetery commission as
  1 23 provided in section 331.325.  The proceeds of the tax
  1 24 levy shall be credited to the county general fund.
  1 25 Section 444.25A does not apply to the property tax
  1 26 levied or expended for cemeteries pursuant to this
  1 27 section and section 331.325."
  1 28    #4.  Page 2, by striking lines 2 through 4.
  1 29    #5.  Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
  1 30 word "cemeteries" the following:  "and authorizing a
  1 31 tax levy".
