  4 10 CONTINGENCY.  Notwithstanding any Act enacted in 1996
  4 11 during the Seventy-sixth General Assembly, all moneys
  4 12 from appropriations made pursuant to any Act enacted
  4 13 in 1996 by the Seventy-sixth General Assembly to a
  4 14 merged area shall be reduced by 100 percent, if the
  4 15 merged area enters into an agreement under chapter
  4 16 260E or 260F, for a project which includes program
  4 17 services for employees of a confinement feeding
  4 18 operation as defined in section 455B.161."

  8 10 the graduates of a school district to the board of
  8 11 directors of the school district.  Not later than one
  8 12 year after the date on which the majority of the
  8 13 district's seniors graduate, the board shall conduct
  8 14 an annual survey of a representative sampling of
  8 15 employers of the local business community.  The survey
  8 16 shall assess the employability skills of the
  8 17 district's high school graduates who have entered the
  8 18 local workforce.  The employability skills assessed
  8 19 shall include, but are not limited to, reading for
  8 20 information, applied mathematics, listening, and
  8 21 writing.  Annually, the school district shall tabulate
  8 22 and summarize the information collected pursuant to
  8 23 this paragraph and shall file a report with the
  8 24 department of education.  The board shall make copies
  8 25 of the report available upon request."

  9 10 in this subsection, the amount distributed for the
  9 11 management information system shall be reduced to an
  9 12 amount equal to the available funds.
  9 13    Sec.    .  FUNDING FORMULA RECOMMENDATIONS.  By
  9 14 January 1, 1997, the department of education, in
  9 15 consultation with the Iowa association of community
  9 16 college trustees, shall submit recommendations for a
  9 17 funding formula that identifies and addresses
  9 18 community college needs.
  9 19    Sec.    .  REPEAL – DIRECTION TO CODE EDITOR.
  9 20 Section 260C.18A, as enacted in this Act, is repealed
  9 21 effective July 1, 1997.  The Code editor shall strike
  9 22 the reference to section 260C.18A in section 260C.34
  9 23 effective July 1, 1997."
