1 1 Amend the amendment, H-5174, to House File 2087 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. By striking page 2, line 49, through page 3,
1 4 line 6, and inserting the following:
1 5 "1. PURCHASE REQUIREMENT. By December 31, 1997,
1 6 the board shall require an electric utility within the
1 7 state to enter into contracts for the purchase of the
1 8 utility's allotted share of eighty-nine megawatts of
1 9 electricity generated from alternate energy production
1 10 facilities, and by July 1, 1999, the board shall
1 11 require the utility to enter into contracts for the
1 12 purchase of the utility's allotted share of an
1 13 additional one hundred five megawatts. Contracts
1 14 shall be subject to the terms and conditions
1 15 established by the board pursuant to this section."
