1 1 Amend House File 2477 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 10, by inserting after line 22 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. 101. There is appropriated from the general
1 5 fund of the state to the department of education for
1 6 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending
1 7 June 30, 1997, the following amount, or so much
1 8 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 9 designated:
1 10 To provide matching funds to the school districts
1 11 to pay for health benefits covering early retirement
1 12 of classroom teachers under section 279.46:
1 13 .................................................. $ 500,000
1 14 The match shall consist of one-third from the
1 15 state, one-third from the school district, and one-
1 16 third from the employee who elects early retirement
1 17 pursuant to a program adopted pursuant to section
1 18 279.46 which program provides for the continuation of
1 19 health or medical insurance coverage."
1 20 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
