1 1 Amend House File 2454 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 16 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 453A.36, subsection 7,
1 5 unnumbered paragraph 2, Code 1995, is amended to read
1 6 as follows:
1 7 8. Violation of this section by the holder of a
1 8 distributor's, wholesaler's, or manufacturer's permit
1 9 shall be grounds for the revocation of such permit.
1 10 Sec. . Section 453A.36, Code 1995, is amended
1 11 by adding the following new subsection:
1 12 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. A manufacturer, distributor,
1 13 wholesaler, retailer, distributing agent, or agent
1 14 thereof shall not give away cigarettes or tobacco
1 15 products at any time for promotion of its business or
1 16 product, or in any other connection to its business.
1 17 A violation of this subsection is a serious
1 18 misdemeanor."
1 19 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
