  1  1    Amend House File 2472 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 27, by inserting after line 10 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 80B.11, subsection 9,
  1  5 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1995, is amended to read
  1  6 as follows:
  1  7    9.  Minimum qualifications for instructors in law
  1  8 enforcement and jailer training schools.  The
  1  9 qualifications shall provide that an instructor shall
  1 10 not lose their status as a certified instructor based
  1 11 upon their retirement from the active police force or
  1 12 upon their leaving the Iowa law enforcement academy if
  1 13 the instructor otherwise remains qualified and the
  1 14 instructor remains a member of a police reserve unit."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
