1 1 Amend the amendment, H-5074, to Senate File 2063,
1 2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 1, line 9, by inserting after the word
1 5 "public" the following: "and nonpublic".
1 6 #2. Page 2, by inserting after line 9 the
1 7 following:
1 8 "___. Each board of directors of a school district
1 9 allocated funds under subsection 2 shall be required
1 10 to establish a fund for the purpose of purchasing
1 11 instructional technology as provided in this
1 12 subsection on behalf of pupils attending accredited
1 13 nonpublic schools. From the moneys allocated in
1 14 subsection 2, the department of education shall
1 15 distribute not more than one million dollars to the
1 16 funds established pursuant to this subsection based
1 17 upon the proportion that the number of pupils enrolled
1 18 in an accredited nonpublic school in that district
1 19 bears to the total number of pupils enrolled in all
1 20 accredited nonpublic schools in the state. Moneys in
1 21 the funds established by the boards shall be expended
1 22 for communication costs, the acquisition, lease, or
1 23 lease-purchase, installation, and maintenance of
1 24 instructional technology equipment, including
1 25 hardware, software, and materials and supplies related
1 26 to instructional technology for nonpublic school
1 27 students."
1 28 #3. Page 3, by inserting after line 29 the
1 29 following:
1 30 " . Each accredited nonpublic school for which
1 31 instructional technology is purchased under section
1 32 295.2 on behalf of accredited nonpublic school pupils
1 33 shall develop a technology plan that supports and
1 34 improves student achievement, demonstrates the manner
1 35 in which technology will be utilized to improve
1 36 student achievement, and includes an evaluation
1 37 component. Plans and an annual progress report shall
1 38 be submitted to the department of education."
1 39 #4. Page 3, by inserting after line 47 the
1 40 following:
1 41 " . Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 42 word "districts," the following: "accredited
1 43 nonpublic schools,"."
1 44 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
