1 1 Amend the amendment, H-4081, to Senate File 481, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 7, by inserting after line 9 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. . There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 7 Iowa infrastructure account of the state to the
1 8 department of corrections for the fiscal year
1 9 beginning July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, the
1 10 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
1 11 to be used for the purpose designated:
1 12 For the construction of, or the remodeling or
1 13 renovation of, a building for use as a residential
1 14 facility and office in Fort Dodge by the second
1 15 judicial district department of correctional services:
1 16 .................................................. $ 1,900,000
1 17 It is the intent of the general assembly that the
1 18 department of corrections issue a request for
1 19 proposals for the construction of, or the remodeling
1 20 or renovation of, a building for use as a residential
1 21 facility and office in Fort Dodge by the second
1 22 judicial district department of correctional services.
1 23 If a proposal is accepted by the department, but in no
1 24 event earlier than January 30, 1996, the department of
1 25 corrections is authorized to construct a residential
1 26 facility and office in Fort Dodge or remodel or
1 27 renovate an existing building for use as a residential
1 28 facility and office in Fort Dodge, for use by the
1 29 second judicial district department of correctional
1 30 services.
1 31 Notwithstanding section 8.33, unencumbered or
1 32 unobligated funds remaining on June 30, 1998, from the
1 33 funds appropriated in this section, shall revert to
1 34 the rebuild Iowa infrastructure account of the state
1 35 on August 31, 1998."
