1 1 Amend the amendment, H-4081, to Senate File 481, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 7, by inserting after line 25 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
1 7 Sec. . There is appropriated from the rebuild
1 8 Iowa infrastructure account of the state to the
1 9 department of education for the fiscal year beginning
1 10 July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, $5,000,000, to
1 11 be used for compliance with the federal Americans with
1 12 Disabilities Act, for fire and environmental safety,
1 13 for implementation of energy conservation measures,
1 14 for reduction of technological obsolescence in
1 15 instructional equipment and facilities for community
1 16 colleges and for other stated purposes to be allocated
1 17 to the merged areas in the following amounts:
1 18 1. Merged Area I
1 19 For the construction of a building to house the
1 20 national center for agricultural rescue and emergencies:
1 21 .................................................. $ 1,000,000
1 22 The appropriation to Merged Area I in this
1 23 subsection is contingent upon the receipt of federal
1 24 funds. If federal funding is not received, Merged
1 25 Area I shall be allocated $272,700 and the remainder
1 26 of the appropriation shall revert to the rebuild Iowa
1 27 infrastructure account of the state.
