1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3974, to Senate File 150, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 32 through 41 and
1 5 inserting the following: "drug urine screen test.
1 6 The Iowa department of public health, in consultation
1 7 with the department of human services and the council
1 8 on chemically exposed infants and children created in
1 9 chapter 235C, shall adopt rules specifying minimum
1 10 standards for reliable results of medically relevant
1 11 tests. The rules shall include but are not limited to
1 12 standards which minimize the incidence of false
1 13 positive test results. The Iowa department of public
1 14 health shall maintain a list of laboratories which are
1 15 approved to perform medically relevant tests in
1 16 accordance with the standards adopted in
1 17 administrative rules."
1 18 #2. Page 1, by striking line 42 and inserting the
1 19 following:
1 20 "Sec. 100. NEW SECTION. 232.106 TERMS AND".
1 21 #3. Page 2, by inserting after line 20 the
1 22 following:
1 23 "# . Page 2, by inserting after line 31 the

1 25 "Sec. . APPLICABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
1 26 Section 100 of this Act, enacting section 232.106,
1 27 being deemed of immediate importance, takes effect
1 28 upon enactment and applies to medically relevant tests
1 29 performed on or after the effective date of this Act
1 30 pursuant to court orders imposing terms and conditions
1 31 which are in effect on or after the effective date of
1 32 this Act.""
1 33 #4. Page 2, by inserting after line 20 the
1 34 following:
1 35 "# . Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
1 36 word "information" the following: "and providing an
1 37 applicability and effective date"."
1 38 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
