1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3815, to Senate File 208, as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. By striking page 1, line 50, through page 2,
1 5 line 16, and inserting the following: "as enacted by
1 6 this Act, the department may apply a special protocol
1 7 for conducting an assessment in response to a child
1 8 abuse report to which all of the following
1 9 circumstances apply:
1 10 1. Three previous child abuse reports have been
1 11 made involving the same alleged perpetrator or a
1 12 family member of the alleged perpetrator.
1 13 2. The three previous reports were made within a
1 14 period of two years prior to the date of the latest
1 15 report.
1 16 3. The assessments resulting from the previous
1 17 three reports did not identify any child protection
1 18 concerns.
1 19 The special protocol may involve an abbreviated
1 20 assessment process, such as a telephone contact or
1 21 other means, to address the abuse allegation without
1 22 subjecting the family of the alleged perpetrator to
1 23 repeated or extensive assessments regarding abuse
1 24 allegations which have no basis.""
