  1  1    Amend Senate File 433 as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  730.6  CHILD CARE &endash;
  1  6 BASIS FOR DISCHARGE &endash; POSTPONEMENT.
  1  7    An employer shall not use as a basis for discharge
  1  8 of an employee, the inability of an employee to
  1  9 provide child care for the employee's child if the
  1 10 lack of child care results in the employee's inability
  1 11 to work for a period of three consecutive working
  1 12 days.  A person who violates this section is guilty of
  1 13 a simple misdemeanor."
  1 14    #2.  Title page, by striking line 2 and inserting
  1 15 the following:  "family improvement provisions
  1 16 including child care-related provisions and including
  1 17 a requirement that the department of human".
  1 18    #3.  Title page, line 3, by striking the word "to".
  1 19    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
