  1  1    Amend Senate File 462, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 21 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "15.  Notwithstanding the limitations of section
  1  6 249A.3, subsection 4, discretionary medical assistance
  1  7 shall be provided to individuals who are receiving
  1  8 care in a nursing home who meet all eligibility
  1  9 requirements for federal supplemental security income
  1 10 except that their income exceeds the allowable maximum
  1 11 but is insufficient to meet the full cost of their
  1 12 care in the nursing home on the basis of standards
  1 13 established by the department."
  1 14    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
