  1  1    Amend House File 504 as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 31 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 321A.1, subsection 8, Code
  1  6 1995, is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    8.  OWNER.  A "Owner" means a person who holds the
  1  8 legal title of a motor vehicle, or in however, if the
  1  9 event a motor vehicle is the subject of a security
  1 10 agreement with a right of possession in the debtor,
  1 11 then such the debtor shall be deemed the owner for the
  1 12 purpose purposes of this chapter or if the motor
  1 13 vehicle is leased as defined in section 321.493, the
  1 14 lessee shall be deemed the owner for purposes of this
  1 15 chapter."
