  1  1    Amend House File 334 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking line 34 and inserting the
  1  3 following:  "on the question of participation, if a
  1  4 majority, and at least sixty percent of those".
  1  5    #2.  Page 2, by striking lines 21 through 25 and
  1  6 inserting the following:  "of the base year.  If a
  1  7 majority at least sixty percent of those voting on the
  1  8 question at the election favors disapproval approval
  1  9 of the action of the board, the district shall not
  1 10 participate in the instructional support program.  If
  1 11 a majority of those voting on the question favors
  1 12 approval of the action, the board shall".
  1 13    #3.  Page 2, by inserting after line 27 the
  1 14 following:
  1 15    "Sec. 3.  Section 257.27, unnumbered paragraph 2,
  1 16 Code 1995, is amended to read as follows:
  1 17    If the voters do not approve adoption of the
  1 18 instructional support program, the board shall wait at
  1 19 least one hundred twenty days year following the
  1 20 election before taking action to adopt the program or
  1 21 resubmit the proposition."
  1 22    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
