  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3610, to House File 518 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 46 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "   .  "Basic communications price factor" means
  1  6 the following:
  1  7    a.  For purposes of a local exchange carrier with
  1  8 seventy-five thousand or more access lines, a factor
  1  9 determined annually as the lower of the following:
  1 10    (1)  Forty-one and six thousand six hundred sixty-
  1 11 seven ten thousandths percent of the percentage change
  1 12 of the average annual gross national product price
  1 13 index.
  1 14    (2)  The percentage change of the average annual
  1 15 gross national product price index minus two and
  1 16 seventy-five hundredths percentage points.
  1 17    b.  For purposes of the local exchange carrier with
  1 18 fewer than seventy-five thousand access lines, a
  1 19 factor determined annually as the lower of the
  1 20 following:
  1 21    (1)  Fifty-two and eight hundred thirty-four ten
  1 22 thousandths percent of the percentage change of the
  1 23 average annual gross national product price index.
  1 24    (2)  The percentage change of the average annual
  1 25 gross national product price index minus two and six
  1 26 hundred twenty-five thousandths percentage points."
  1 27    #2.  Page 7, by striking lines 17 through 24 and
  1 28 inserting the following:  "services based upon the
  1 29 basic communications price factor."
  1 30    #3.  By striking page 11, line 45, through page 12,
  1 31 line 5.
  1 32    #4.  By renumbering and correcting internal
  1 33 references as necessary.
