  1  1    Amend House File 334 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 12 through 22 and
  1  3 inserting the following:  "published in one or more
  1  4 newspapers not less than ten nor more than twenty days
  1  5 before the public hearing.  For the purpose of
  1  6 establishing and giving assured circulation to the
  1  7 proceedings, only in a newspaper which is a newspaper
  1  8 of general circulation issued at a regular frequency,
  1  9 distributed in the school district's area, and
  1 10 regularly delivered or mailed through the post office
  1 11 during the preceding two years may be used for the
  1 12 publication in the school district.  In addition, the
  1 13 newspaper must have a list of subscribers who have
  1 14 paid, or promised to pay, at more than a nominal rate,
  1 15 for copies to be received during a stated period.  At
  1 16 the hearing, the board shall announce a".
