  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-3213, to House Joint
  1  2 Resolution 9 as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 2 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 2, line 16, by inserting after the
  1  6 figure "1999" the following:  ", except that this
  1  7 limitation shall not apply to persons elected to the
  1  8 office of governor or lieutenant governor prior to
  1  9 that date"."
  1 10    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
