1 1 Amend the amendment, H-3030, to Senate File 69 as
1 2 passed by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 13, line 9, by inserting after the figure
1 4 "1." the following: "a."
1 5 #2. Page 13, line 17, by inserting after the word
1 6 "dollars" the following: "of which eight million
1 7 eight hundred thousand dollars shall be allocated as
1 8 provided in paragraph "b"".
1 9 #3. Page 13, by inserting after line 17 the
1 10 following:
1 11 "b. Beginning with the fiscal year beginning July
1 12 1, 1995, of the appropriations made in paragraph "a",
1 13 eight million eight hundred thousand dollars for each
1 14 fiscal year shall be allocated with sixty percent to
1 15 be allocated to cities and forty percent to counties
1 16 from which the franchise taxes were collected under
1 17 chapter 422, division V. The amount to each city or
1 18 county shall be based upon the amount of tax the
1 19 financial institution located in the city or county
1 20 pays in franchise tax. If the financial institution
1 21 maintains one or more offices for the transaction of
1 22 business, other than its principal office, a portion
1 23 of its franchise tax shall be allocated to each
1 24 office, based upon a reasonable measure of the
1 25 business activity of each office. The director of
1 26 revenue and finance shall prescribe, for each type of
1 27 financial institution, a method of measuring the
1 28 business activity of each office. Financial
1 29 institutions shall furnish all necessary information
1 30 for this purpose at the request of the director."
