  1  1    Amend House Concurrent Resolution 7 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 5, line 4, through page 6,
  1  3 line 9, and inserting the following:  "judiciary and
  1  4 law enforcement committee of the house.  Such
  1  5 committee amendments shall not be incorporated into
  1  6 the bill in the originating house but shall be filed
  1  7 separately.  Amendments to strike sections of the bill
  1  8 or the committee amendments filed from the floor shall
  1  9 be in order.  Following amendment and passage by the
  1 10 second house, only amendments filed form from the
  1 11 floor which strike sections of the amendment of the
  1 12 second house or amendments files filed from the floor
  1 13 by the judiciary or judiciary and law enforcement
  1 14 committee which perfect or strike sections of the
  1 15 amendment of the second house shall be in order.
  1 16    A bill recommended by the code editor which is
  1 17 introduced by a committee of the house or senate
  1 18 within the first four weeks of convening of a
  1 19 legislative session and which contains code
  1 20 corrections beyond those of a nonsubstantive nature
  1 21 may be amended pursuant to amendments filed by the
  1 22 judiciary committee of the senate or the judiciary and
  1 23 law enforcement committee of the house.  Such
  1 24 committee amendments shall not be incorporated into
  1 25 the bill in the originating house but shall be filed
  1 26 separately.  Such a bill shall be limited to
  1 27 corrections which:  Adjust language to reflect current
  1 28 practices, insert earlier omissions, delete
  1 29 redundancies and inaccuracies, delete temporary
  1 30 language, resolve inconsistencies and conflicts,
  1 31 update ongoing provisions, and remove ambiguities.
  1 32 Amendments to strike sections of the bill or the
  1 33 committee amendments filed from the floor shall be in
  1 34 order.  Following amendment and passage by the second
  1 35 house, only amendments filed from the floor which
  1 36 strike sections of the amendment of the second house
  1 37 or amendments filed from the floor by the judiciary or
  1 38 judiciary and law enforcement committee which perfect
  1 39 or strike sections of the of the amendment of the".
