2or preserve that may be reserved through a centralized

2as follows:
   3461A.48  Camping areas.
  41.  No person shall camp in any portion of a state park or
5preserve except in portions prescribed or designated by the
6commission.
   72.  The commission may designate up to one hundred percent

16EXPLANATION
17The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
18the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
19Current commission rules require the commission to make
20reservable on the centralized reservation system at least 50
21percent but no more than 75 percent of the total number of
22campsites in each individual campground.
23This bill will allow the commission to make reservable up to
24100 percent of campsites in each individual campground. The
25bill only affects the commission’s self-imposed upper limit
26and does not affect the remainder of the commission’s rules
27covering the centralized reservation system.
