3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 35B.6, subsection 2, Code 2017, is
2amended by adding the following new paragraph:
3 NEW PARAGRAPH. c. Neither a county board of supervisors
4nor a county commission of veteran affairs shall place the
5administration of the duties of the county commission of
6veteran affairs under any other agency of any county.
7EXPLANATION
8The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
10This bill provides that neither a county board of
11supervisors nor a county commission of veteran affairs shall
12place the administration of the duties of the county commission
13of veteran affairs under any other agency of any county.
