3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 8A.512A, subsection 2, paragraph a, Code
22021, is amended to read as follows:
3a. The electronic travel authorization form is approved by
4the head of the employee’s department or by the designee of the
5head of the employee’s department.
6EXPLANATION
7The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
8the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
9This bill concerns approval of a claim for reimbursement
10for executive branch employee travel. The bill authorizes
11a designee of the head of an executive branch department to
12approve an electronic travel authorization request form.
13Current law only allows the head of the department to approve
14the request.
