3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 8A.321, Code 2019, is amended by adding
2the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 15. Prepare an annual report listing any
4state building, as defined in section 8A.318, that is vacant
5and submit the annual report to the legislative services agency
6and the department of management on or before January 15 of
7each year.
8EXPLANATION
9The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
10the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
11The bill requires the director of the department of
12administrative services to prepare an annual report of vacant
13state buildings and to submit the report to the legislative
14services agency and the department of management on or before
15January 15 of each year.
