3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 483A.24, Code 2019, is amended by adding
2the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 19. Upon payment of a fee established by
4rules adopted pursuant to section 483A.1 for a lifetime trout
5fishing license, the department shall issue a lifetime trout
6fishing license to a person who is at least sixty-five years of
7age. The department shall prepare an application to be used by
8a person requesting a lifetime trout fishing license under this
9subsection.
10EXPLANATION
11The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
12the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
13This bill creates a lifetime trout fishing license available
14for purchase to a person who is at least 65 years old. The
15bill directs the department of natural resources to prepare an
16application for a lifetime trout fishing license.
