human
sexuality

self-esteem
,

stress
management
,
;
interpersonal
relationships
,
;
dating

violence;
affirmative,
conscious,
and
voluntary
consent

to
engage
in
sexual
activity;
domestic
abuse
,
;
HPV
and
the

availability
of
a
vaccine
to
prevent
HPV
,
;
and
acquired
immune
9
deficiency
syndrome
,
as
required
in
section
256.11
,
in
grades
10
one
through
twelve.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
the
age-appropriate
and

research-based
instruction
in

growth
and
development,

which
each
school
board
must
provide,
must
include
instruction

regarding
dating

and

consent
to
engage
in
sexual
activity.
