H.F. 570 Section 1. Section 708.2, Code 2023, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 3A. A person who commits a violation of 3 subsection 3 against another person who the person knows or 4 reasonably should know is a pregnant person is guilty of a 5 class “D” felony. 6 Sec. 2. Section 708.2A, subsection 2, Code 2023, is amended 7 by adding the following new paragraph: 8 NEW PARAGRAPH . e. A class “D” felony, if the domestic 9 abuse assault is committed against a person who is known to be, 10 or reasonably should be known to be, pregnant, and that is a 11 violation of paragraph “c” or “d” . 12 Sec. 3. Section 708.2A, subsection 3, Code 2023, is amended 13 by adding the following new paragraph: 14 NEW PARAGRAPH . c.
