H.F. 2235 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 499C.3 Vacancy on executive board. 1 If an executive board fills a vacancy on the board, the 2 executive board shall submit the name of the appointed board 3 member for a ratification vote at the next annual meeting or 4 at a special meeting called pursuant to the bylaws of the unit 5 owners association, or pursuant to the chapter under subtitle 6 3 or subtitle 5 of Title XII that the unit owners association 7 is organized under. If the appointed board member is ratified 8 by the vote of the members, the appointed board member shall 9 serve the remainder of the term of the vacant position. If 10 the appointed board member is not ratified by the vote of the 11 members, the members may fill the vacancy pursuant to the 12 bylaws of the unit owners association, or pursuant to the 13 chapter under subtitle 3 or subtitle 5 of Title XII that the 14 unit owners association is organized under.
