Section
1.
Section
272.2,
Code
2021,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsections:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
24.
By
August
1,
2021,
adopt
rules
pursuant
3
to
chapter
17A,
developed
in
consultation
with
the
department,
4
establishing
a
statement
of
professional
recognition
for
5
behavior
analysts
licensed
under
chapter
154D.

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
25.
By
January
1,
2022,
adopt
rules
7
pursuant
to
chapter
17A
establishing
a
statement
of
8
professional
recognition
for
mental
health
counselors
licensed
9
under
chapter
154D.
The
rules
shall
require
that
any
mental
10
health
practitioner
who
holds
a
master’s
degree
and
who
also
11
provides
mental
health
services
to
students
at
a
school
obtain
12
such
a
statement.

Sec.
2.
EMERGENCY
RULES.
The
board
of
educational
examiners
14
may
adopt
emergency
rules
under
section
17A.4,
subsection
3,
15
and
section
17A.5,
subsection
2,
paragraph
“b”,
to
implement
16
the
provisions
of
this
Act
and
the
rules
shall
be
effective
17
immediately
upon
filing
unless
a
later
date
is
specified
in
the
18
rules.
Any
rules
adopted
in
accordance
with
this
section
shall
19
also
be
published
as
a
notice
of
intended
action
as
provided
20
in
section
17A.4.
21
Sec.
3.
EFFECTIVE
DATE.
This
Act,
being
deemed
of
immediate
22
importance,
takes
effect
upon
enactment.
