H.F. 2518 Section 1. Section 321E.8, Code 2022, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 2A. Cranes that are being temporarily 3 moved on highways and that have an overall width not to exceed 4 the width authorized under section 321.454, an overall height 5 not to exceed the height authorized under section 321.456, 6 and an overall length not to exceed the length authorized 7 under section 321.457 may be moved on highways specified by 8 the permit-issuing authority if the total gross weight of the 9 crane does not exceed eighty thousand pounds. The department 10 shall adopt rules pursuant to chapter 17A to administer this 11 subsection. 12 Sec. 2. Section 321E.14, subsection 1, paragraph b, Code 13 2022, is amended to read as follows: 14 b. Four hundred dollars for an annual permit issued 15 pursuant to section 321E.8, subsection 2 or 2A . 16 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
