S.F. 2283 Section 1. Section 147A.1, subsection 13, Code 2020, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 13. “Training program” means an Iowa college approved by 3 the higher learning commission , or an Iowa hospital authorized 4 by the department , or a medical care ambulance service or 5 nontransport service that has received authorization from the 6 department to conduct emergency medical care services training. 7 Sec. 2. Section 147A.17, subsection 1, Code 2020, is amended 8 to read as follows: 9 1. An Iowa college approved by the higher learning 10 commission , or an Iowa hospital in this state , or a medical 11 care ambulance service or nontransport service that desires to 12 provide emergency medical care services training leading to 13 certification as an emergency medical care provider shall apply 14 to the department for authorization to establish a training 15 program. 16 Sec. 3.
