is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

l.
A
person
who
is
eighteen
years
of
age

or
older
who
goes
armed
with
a
dangerous
weapon
that
directs

an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
beam
that
produces
a
5
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
a
person,
as
long
6
as
such
a
dangerous
weapon
does
not
generate
a
projectile
7
that
directs
an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
beam
that
8
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
a
person,
9
and
such
a
dangerous
weapon
is
not
used
in
the
commission
of
a
10
public
offense.

724.4,
Code
2018,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

A
minor
who
goes
armed
with
a
dangerous

weapon
that
directs
an
electric
current,
impulse,
wave,
or
beam

that
produces
a
high-voltage
pulse
designed
to
immobilize
a

person,
whether
concealed
or
not,
commits
a
simple
misdemeanor.
