MANDATORY
1
REPORTER
TRAINING
AND
CERTIFICATION
WORKGROUP.
The
department
2
of
human
services,
in
cooperation
with
the
departments
of
3
education
and
public
health,
shall
facilitate
a
study
by
a
4
workgroup
of
stakeholders
to
make
recommendations
relating
5
to
mandatory
child
abuse
and
mandatory
dependent
adult
6
abuse
reporter
training
and
certification
requirements.
The
7
workgroup
shall
develop
interdepartmental
strategies
for
8
improving
mandatory
child
abuse
and
mandatory
dependent
adult
9
abuse
reporter
training
and
certification
requirements.
The
10
workgroup
shall
consist
of
representatives
from
the
departments
11
of
human
services,
education,
public
health,
public
safety,
and
12
human
rights,
the
department
on
aging,
and
the
office
of
the
13
attorney
general;
a
court
appointed
special
advocate;
and
other
14
experts
the
department
of
human
services
deems
necessary.
The
15
membership
of
the
workgroup
shall
also
include
four
members
of
16
the
general
assembly.
The
legislative
members
shall
serve
as
17
ex
officio,
nonvoting
members
of
the
workgroup,
with
one
member
18
to
be
appointed
by
each
of
the
following:
the
majority
leader
19
of
the
senate,
the
minority
leader
of
the
senate,
the
speaker
20
of
the
house
of
representatives,
and
the
minority
leader
of
the
21
house
of
representatives.
The
workgroup
shall
submit
a
report
22
on
the
study
with
recommendations,
including
but
not
limited
to
23
strategies
developed
and
other
proposed
improvements,
to
the
24
governor
and
the
general
assembly
on
or
before
December
14,
25
2018.
