The
speaker
shall
take
the
chair
at
the
hour
to

which
the
house
has
adjourned,
and
shall
immediately

call
the
house
to
order,
correct
the
journal
of
the

previous
day’s
proceedings,
and
proceed
to
other
13
business,
including,
but
not
limited
to,
introduction
14
of
bills,
reports,
messages,
communications,
business

pending
at
adjournment,
announcements,
resolutions

and
bills
on
their
passage,
and
points
of
personal

privilege.

Quorum
Call

Convening

The
house
shall
convene
each
Monday
at
1:00
p.m.

and
at

a.m.
on
all
other
legislative

unless

The

The
house
shall
not
convene

on
Sunday
during

regular
or

member

The
speaker

Subject

an
appeal

the

may
have
the
chamber
of
the
house

cleared
in

Only

and

Budget
4
The
speaker
of
the
house
shall
annually
prepare
a

proposed
budget
for
the
house
of
representatives
for

the
payment
of
expenses,
salaries,
per
diems,
and
other

items.
The
proposed
budget
shall
be
submitted
on
the

fourteenth
day
of
each
legislative
session
to
the
house
9
administration
and
rules
committee,
which
shall
approve
10
a
proposed
budget
in
house
resolution
form.
The
house
11
shall
adopt
a
budget
prior
to
adjournment.

The
Speaker
Pro
Tempore
14
The
house
shall,
at
its
pleasure,
elect
a
speaker

pro
tempore.
When
the
speaker
shall
for
any
cause
be

absent,
the
speaker
pro
tempore
shall
preside,
except

the
chair
is
filled
by
appointment
by
either

the
speaker
or
the
speaker
pro
tempore.
If
a
vacancy

occurs
in
the
office
of
speaker,

assume
the
duties

responsibilities
