1.
NEW
SECTION
.
70A.40
Elective
public
officer
1
contact
information.

1.
Within
thirty
days
of
an
elective
public
officer
swearing
3
to
an
oath
of
office,
the
governmental
entity
the
officer
4
serves
shall
provide
the
officer
with
designated
contact
5
information
with
the
governmental
entity.
A
governmental
6
entity
that
maintains
an
internet
site
shall
cause
to
be
7
published
the
contact
information
for
each
of
the
entity’s
8
elective
public
officers
on
the
internet
site
maintained
by
the
9
entity.
An
elective
public
officer
shall
provide
additional
10
contact
information
that
would
normally
be
used
to
make
contact
11
with
the
officer
to
the
governmental
entity
to
be
published
as
12
provided
in
this
section
for
designated
contact
information.

2.
a.
For
the
purposes
of
this
section,
“contact
14
information”
means
a
telephone
number
and
an
electronic
mail
15
address.

b.
For
the
purposes
of
this
section,
“elective
public
17
officer”
or
“officer”
means
all
of
the
following:
18
(1)
Members
of
the
general
assembly.
19
(2)
Members
of
a
county
board
of
supervisors.
20
(3)
Members
of
a
city
council.
21
(4)
Members
of
a
board
of
directors
of
a
school
district.
