Section 232.52, subsection 2, paragraph e, 1 2 subparagraph (2), Code Supplement 2005, is amended to read as 1 3 follows: 1 4 (2) The child has committed an actwhich is a crime 1 5 against a person andwhich would be an aggravated misdemeanor 1 6 or a felony if the act were committed by an adult. 1 7 Sec. 2. STATE JUVENILE INSTITUTIONS == POPULATION STUDY. 1 8 An analysis of the juveniles placed at the Iowa juvenile home 1 9 and the state training school shall be conducted by the 1 10 division of criminal and juvenile justice planning of the 1 11 department of human rights with the cooperation and assistance 1 12 of the department of human services. The analysis shall 1 13 address the backgrounds, demographic aspects, and factors 1 14 involved with the placement of children at the institutions 1 15 over a period of time identified in the analysis. The purpose 1 16 of the analysis is to identify any trends or patterns that 1 17 exist in the children's admissions, referrals, treatment 1 18 received, outcomes, or behaviors exhibited by the children 1 19 upon departure from an institution. The division shall 1 20 provide an initial report on the analysis during the fiscal 1 21 year beginning July 1, 2006, progress updates, and a final 1 22 report when the analysis is completed. 1 23 HF 2566 1 24 jm:nh/es/25
