S.F. 2318 Section 1. Section 483A.8, subsection 3, paragraph b, Code 1 2026, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. A nonresident who purchases an antlered or any sex deer 3 hunting license pursuant to rules adopted pursuant to section 4 483A.1 , is required to purchase an antlerless deer only deer 5 hunting license at the same time unless the zone in which the 6 nonresident is purchasing the antlered or any sex deer hunting 7 license is designated by the commission as not required , 8 pursuant to rules adopted pursuant to section 483A.1 . 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 Under current law, a nonresident who purchases an antlered 13 or any sex deer hunting license is required to purchase an 14 antlerless deer only deer hunting license at the same time. 15 This bill requires the purchase of an antlerless deer only 16 deer hunting license unless the zone in which the nonresident 17 is purchasing the antlered or any sex deer hunting license is 18 designated by the commission as not required. 19 -1- LSB 6883SV (2) 91 sb/js 1/ 1
