such

its

relates
to
an
electric

or
transmission
project,
or
when
such
work
relates

to
existing
utility
infrastructure
or
establishing
connections

to
existing
utility
infrastructure.
For
purposes
of
this

subparagraph,
“utility
infrastructure”
includes
facilities
used
9
for
the
storage,
collection,
disposal,
treatment,
generation,
10
transmission,
or
distribution
of
water,
sewage,
waste,
11
electricity,
gas,
or
telecommunications
service.

of
this
explanation
does

constitute

This
bill
revises
the
definition
of
“public
improvement”
for

purposes
of
Code
chapter
26
(public
construction
bidding)
to

exclude
equipment.
The
bill
also
excludes
from
the
definition

repair
or
maintenance
work
performed
for
a
city
utility
when
19
the
work
is
related
to
an
electric
generation
or
transmission
20
project.

law,
the
bill
affects
the

“public

as

in
