House Resolution 15 - Introduced HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 15 BY BODEN A Resolution designating May 9, 2025, as Child Care 1 Provider Appreciation Day. 2 WHEREAS, Child Care Aware of America and other 3 organizations nationwide recognize child care providers 4 on this day; and 5 WHEREAS, child care systems support children’s 6 growth, development, and educational advancement, and 7 create a positive economic impact for families and 8 communities; and 9 WHEREAS, child care providers are essential to 10 the health of our communities by fostering welcoming 11 spaces, supporting working families, and creating 12 positive environments where children can develop 13 lifelong skills; and 14 WHEREAS, as child care is a lifeline for families, 15 communities, and the economy, our state and our 16 communities need to support child care providers to 17 sustain the viability of child care; and 18 WHEREAS, Iowa benefits from comprehensive, 19 well-resourced child care resource and referral 20 organizations that help build the supply and quality 21 of child care by coaching, mentoring, and providing 22 technical assistance to child care providers; and 23 WHEREAS, support for affordable, accessible, 24 high-quality child care represents a worthy commitment 25 to help families work, support healthy development 26 and learning for children, and keep our economy 27 growing; NOW THEREFORE, 28 -1- LSB 2972YH (2) 91 dg/ko 1/ 2
