House Resolution 102 - Introduced HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 102 BY LATHAM and INGELS A Resolution congratulating Ms. Amanda Ostrem for her 1 reign as the 2025 Iowa Pork Queen. 2 WHEREAS, during the January 2025 Iowa Pork Congress, 3 Ms. Ostrem was coronated as the Iowa Pork Queen; and 4 WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem, daughter of Jared and Janie 5 Ostrem of Stanhope, Iowa, grew up as part of a farm 6 family involved in pork production; and 7 WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem is distinguished by her 8 participation in agriculture-related activities 9 including 4-H club while attending South Hamilton High 10 School; and 11 WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem is pursuing a career in 12 agriculture, attending Iowa State University, and 13 majoring in agricultural business; and 14 WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem has been an advocate for 15 agriculture as part of the Iowa Pork Producers Youth 16 Leadership Team; NOW THEREFORE, 17 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, 18 That the House of Representatives extends its 19 congratulations to Ms. Ostrem for her reign as the 2025 20 Iowa Pork Queen and thanks her for serving Iowa as a 21 goodwill ambassador for the pork industry; and 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon adoption, an 23 official copy of this resolution be prepared for 24 presentation to Ms. Ostrem. 25 -1- LSB 5974YH (2) 91 da/jm 1/ 1
