H.F. 815 Section 1. MEDICAID PROVIDER REIMBURSEMENT RATES —— ANNUAL 1 AUTOMATIC INCREASES. Notwithstanding any provision of law 2 to the contrary regarding inflation factors or indexing of 3 Medicaid provider reimbursement rates, and in addition to any 4 other change in reimbursement rates specified for a fiscal 5 year, the department of health and human services shall 6 automatically increase the reimbursement rate of a provider 7 enrolled in the Medicaid program on July 1, annually, by 8 applying a two and one-half percent increase to the specific 9 provider’s current reimbursement rate. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill provides for an annual automatic increase in the 14 reimbursement rates for Medicaid providers. 15 The bill provides that notwithstanding any provision of 16 law to the contrary regarding inflation factors or indexing 17 of Medicaid provider reimbursement rates, and in addition 18 to any other change in reimbursement rates specified for a 19 fiscal year, the department of health and human services shall 20 automatically increase the reimbursement rate of a Medicaid 21 provider on July 1, annually, by applying a 2.5 percent 22 increase to the specific provider’s current reimbursement rate. 23 -1- LSB 1966YH (1) 91 lh/ko 1/ 1
