H.F. 685 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 8A.311C State agency contracts —— 1 steel. 2 A state agency contract shall, if applicable, contain 3 a provision requiring that any steel that is purchased 4 pursuant to the contract using state moneys or tax credits be 5 manufactured in the United States. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill requires that a state agency contract involving 10 steel must contain a provision requiring any steel purchased 11 with state moneys or tax credits to be manufactured in the 12 United States. 13 -1- LSB 2272YH (3) 91 sc/ns 1/ 1
