H.F. 593 Section 1. Section 558.69, subsection 1, unnumbered 1 paragraph 1, Code 2025, is amended to read as follows: 2 With each declaration of value submitted to the county 3 recorder under chapter 428A , except for deeds described in 4 section 428A.2, subsection 22, and as specified in subsection 5 8 , there shall be submitted a groundwater hazard statement 6 stating all of the following: 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill creates an exception to the requirement to submit 11 a groundwater hazard statement when submitting a declaration 12 of value to the county recorder. The bill provides that when a 13 declaration of value is submitted to a county recorder for a 14 deed transferring distributions of assets to beneficiaries of a 15 trust when conveyed without consideration, the submitter does 16 not have to also submit a groundwater hazard statement. 17 -1- LSB 1538YH (1) 91 cm/jh 1/ 1
