H.F. 582 Section 1. Section 48A.38, subsection 1, paragraph f, Code 1 2025, is amended to read as follows: 2 f. The county commissioner of registration and the state 3 registrar of voters shall remove a voter’s whole or partial 4 social security number, as applicable, voter identification 5 number assigned by the state commissioner, date of birth, 6 home address, Iowa driver’s license number, or and Iowa 7 nonoperator’s identification card number from a voter 8 registration list prepared pursuant to this section . 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill requires the county commissioner of registration 13 or state registrar of voters to remove a voter’s date of birth 14 and home address from a list of registered voters requested by 15 a person. 16 -1- LSB 2601YH (5) 91 ss/ns 1/ 1
